Job Summary
The Director of Compensation oversees the administration of compensation programs to support the universitys vision and strategy. Develops compensation processes and practice; ensures consistent implementation throughout the university. Ensures compensation programs are compliant with federal and state regulations. Influences positive change at all levels within the university. Manages and develops the compensation staff by fostering a team environment and facilitates delivery of timely and quality service to internal customers.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Serves as a consultant to management on all compensation issues including developing creative solutions pertaining to salary issues. Manages and refines the campus job evaluation process; ensures appropriate classification for staff positions and consistency in classifications decisions Evaluates alignment of pay levels based on external markets internal equity and employee performance and provides consultation for organizational alignment projects. Provide leadership and expertise in all HR projects through the preparation of detailed analytical models and innovative recommendations Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field. Six (6) years of compensation experience to include supervisory experience OR 10 years of equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master degree Human Resources Management. Ten years of Compensation experience. Certified Compensation Professional ( CCP ).
Work Schedule
Monday Friday; 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Hybrid work opportunities may be available with approval from leadership.
