Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality cardiopulmonary care to patients across all age groups. This role involves delivering both critical and non-critical respiratory services using a variety of invasive and non-invasive techniques in inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical expertise professionalism and a commitment to patient-centered care while adhering to all applicable licensure standards and scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and monitor their progress and response to respiratory care interventions.
- Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary procedures.
- Deliver respiratory care services in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Accurately document all patient care activities in medical records and maintain department documentation.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes treatment plans home care and safety measures.
- Provide age-appropriate care tailored to patient needs.
- Support the training and orientation of new staff and students.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams regarding patient cardiopulmonary status and treatment plans.
- Participate in departmental meetings training sessions and competency evaluations.
- May take on charge or team leadership responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Active state license to practice respiratory care.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association).
- Strong knowledge of cardiopulmonary disease management and critical care practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- 13 years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Membership with the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC).
- NRP certification (preferred for NICU experience).
