About the Role

The Applications Manager OTD(Order-to-Delivery) will report to the Director of Global Applications and manage systems supporting the full OTD value chain. This role drives business value across the OTD value chain by partnering with business leaders to deliver and adopt innovative process and technology solutions that supports business strategy and outcomes.

The Order-to-Delivery (OTD) process encompasses the entire lifecycle of a customer order starting from the moment the order is placed until billing and invoicing are recorded. Key value chain steps include Order Management/Entry Credit Management Order Fulfillment Shipping & Logistics Invoicing & Billing and Reporting & Analytics.

Primary Location

Remote role located in the GMT EU or South Africa time-zones with global responsibility

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary IT partner for the OTD organization aligning the Applications Roadmap with business strategy and objectives; collaborate with Finance to support Accounts Receivable & Payment Collection and Cash Application
  • Convert OTD business processes and needs into functional and technical requirements and manage delivery from idea to deployment
  • Monitor system performance manage maintenance updates and upgrades ensure alignment to the planned architecture and manage risk and disaster recovery plans
  • Lead problem diagnosis to find root causes and implement appropriate solutions
  • Work with the support team to set up support channels resolve incidents and manage changes and enhancements
  • Oversee testing to ensure applications work correctly and follow business policies and controls
  • Work with the integration team to implement and maintain application interfaces
  • Ensure compliance with security standards regulations and company policies
  • Help create training materials and support user training to ensure effective use of applications
  • Plan and manage resources to deliver business outcomes and lead the support team by promoting performance development and collaboration
  • Work with procurement to select and manage vendors for software development licensing and support services.

  • Works effectively with peers and shows agility in adjusting to fastpaced and evolving environments.

Skills/Competencies

  • 7 years of handson experience with SAP OTD value chain (SD TM WM Mobility) and integrations; ECC 6.0 required S/4HANA a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM product is a plus
  • Adept in planning executing and monitoring projects
  • Knowledge of industry best practices pertaining to technology design and management
  • Strong understanding of order-to-delivery processes and an ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience supporting USbased companies including SOX
  • Comfortable engaging with Clevel commercial leaders and global commercial stakeholders
  • Strong communication relationshipbuilding and influencing skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (15% - 25% travel expected)
