Mainframe Infrastructure Engineering Lead (Systems Software)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of mainframe hardware and software lifecycle management initiatives
• Manage teams supporting multiple z/OS mainframe environments
• Provide technical leadership across core mainframe technologies including JCL DB2 IMS CICS source code management and SDLC practices
• Oversee security mechanisms such as RACF ACF2 and TSS
• Drive modernization automation and continuous improvement of mainframe services
• Partner with data center services production services and application development teams to support enterprise initiatives
• Lead and develop managers and technical staff through coaching mentoring and talent development practices
• Guide crossfunctional efforts and complex programs to successful outcomes

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related field
• 610 years of relevant infrastructure or systems engineering experience
• 10 years of diverse IT experience preferred; financial services experience is a plus
• Strong experience in mainframe infrastructure system programming or mainframe application development
• Direct hands-on mainframe experience is required
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across technical and business stakeholders
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problemsolving capabilities

Technical Skills (Preferred)

• z/OS PARMLIB UNIX System Services HCD
• SMP/E and maintenance routines
• JCL IPL processes ISPF/TSO
• Installation and support of IBM operating systems and ISV software
• ITSM / ITIL practices including Release and Change Management

Experience building and sustaining enterprise mainframe platforms.
