Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week travel assignment at a leading healthcare facility. This role is essential in supporting surgical and clinical operations by ensuring proper decontamination sterilization and distribution of medical instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform decontamination cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment
Assemble instrument trays sets and supplies based on surgical schedules and priority needs
Inspect instruments for cleanliness functionality and proper assembly
Operate and troubleshoot steam sterilizers and related processing equipment
Maintain accurate sterilization records and logs in compliance with regulatory standards
Adhere to infection control safety and compliance guidelines
Manage inventory of sterile and non-sterile supplies
Identify and report equipment malfunctions or processing issues
Follow manufacturer instructions and industry best practices for instrument processing
Ensure timely distribution of sterile supplies to operating rooms and other departments
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification required
Minimum 1 year of Sterile Processing experience required
Prior travel experience preferred
Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control standards
Experience with steam sterilization equipment
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
