Job Summary

SCOPE OF WORK:

The key responsibilities of Telehealth Engagement Officer include:

Provide real-time or scheduled teleconsultations covering both physical and mental health concerns.

Offer diagnosis treatment guidance and basic psychosocial support following national and SCH clinical/MHPSS protocols.

Lead weekly case review sessions with supervisor and other team members with documented action points and follow-up tracking.

Supervise Telehealth Data Officer for data management and quality assurance processes including data verification completeness checks and integrity reviews to support planning and gap analysis.

Refer severe or high-risk cases (e.g. suicide risk psychosis trauma) according to SCHs referral protocol or mobile outreach for follow-up.

Coordinate closely with Clinic Assistants and mobile teams to ensure patients receive appropriate care and follow-up.

Liaise with SCHs mental health focal point for technical guidance and referrals.

Support joint case discussions or care planning for patients with combined physical and emotional health needs.

Accurately record clinical and counseling notes using SCHs secure digital system or logbooks.

Submit daily/weekly summaries of consultations while maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards.

Use appropriate consent and privacy protocols especially for mental health sessions.

Participate in post-disaster tele-outreach or emergency mental health services particularly in displacement or high-stress environments.

Provide psychological first aid (PFA) and brief solution-focused interventions as needed.

Share recommendations with field teams to strengthen psychosocial care strategies.

Identify gaps in remote service delivery and contribute to improving SCHs teleconsultation and MHPSS integration model.

Attend periodic team check-ins or remote supervision sessions to share learning and improve quality.

Conduct scheduled or proactive phone calls to clients enrolled in Family Health and other chronic or high priority care programs.

Track client treatment adherence appointment follow-up and medication refill needs; provide reminders and counseling support as needed.

Coordinate with field teams to flag default cases or missed follow-ups and ensure timely intervention.

Maintain a regular call log and case tracking sheet ensuring all interactions are documented securely and ethically.

Build rapport with clients to support retention in care and reduce loss-to-follow-up during or after emergency disruptions.

Perform any other duties as assigned to support effective project implementation.

 

Term of Agreement:

The Contractor will receive the basic daily service payment upon submission of a complete Daily Work Report to the respective Supervisor and payment will be made within 30 days after SCH receives and accepts the addition the Contractor may be eligible for a performance-based payment which will be determined based on the verification of achievements against the Monthly or Quarterly Performance Indicator Report and the appraisal and approval of the respective Supervisor.


Qualifications :

Hold a M.B. B.S degree with valid SAMA.

Preferably have a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in providing telehealth services.

Demonstrate competent use of MS Office applications.

Experience with NGO or donor-funded health projects is desirable.

Prior experience in mental health counseling is preferred.
