Chief Engineer-Mechanical & Electrician

JOB SUMMARY

Directs the Engineering team in the execution of all Mechanical/Electrical related maintenance repairs and projects to provide the successful operation and safety of all mechanical and electrical systems. Manages the daily operation of all Mechanical/Electrical systems.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Engineering; 3 years experience electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance operations management or related professional area

OR

2-year graduate degree in Engineering; 2 years experience electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance operations management or related professional area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Mechanical/Electrical Operations

Manages the daily operation of all Mechanical/Electrical systems including electrical systems pools HVAC kitchen and refrigeration.

Manages and executes the Mechanical/Electrical operating budget.

Supervises all electrical and mechanical projects associated proposals and construction documentation.

Develops and maintains a progressive energy management program.

Handles all energy conservation issues.

Develops administers and tracks electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance programs.

Supervises improvements and modifications of all mechanical and electrical systems within the confines of the property.

Performs routine inspections of all kitchens mechanical and electrical rooms and assign tasks as needed.

Coordinates system repairs and enhancements with vendors and contractors.

Leading Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Team

Supervises the daily activities and performance of the Mechanical/Electrical Engineering staff.

Manages the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering team to be in compliance with OSHA regulations Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and safety precautions.

Serves as the Manager on Duty for the entire Engineering division.

Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities

Interviews selects and trains employees.

Appraises employees productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in status.

Provides for the safety and security of the employees or the property.

Monitors employee attendance and records absences/tardiness.

Helps direct supervisors to achieve their own development goals.

Conducts annual performance appraisal with direct reports according to Standard Operating Procedures.
