PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: 24600 - 32000 depending on relevant skills knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This is a production position working for the BBC Audio team based in Bristol. We devise develop and deliver original content for the BBC. You can find out more about us here a Researcher you would provide research logistical and digital support to our teams on several productions ensuring delivery on time and in budget. You will join a team working across a variety of output reporting to an Editor or Producer.
This role will sit within our Food Farming and Factual team which produces several flagship Radio 4 strands. The successful candidate will also be expected to work on Radio 4s live weekly political debate programme Any Questions This involves Friday evening working and travel.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the running of a team that produces live and pre-recorded content across BBC Sounds national radio networks and the BBC World Service.

The researcher on Any Questions is a key part of a small production team. Its a chance to experience live production on a high-profile fast-moving programme.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Researching topics contributors archive and music for any of our programmes and podcasts
- Logistical support arranging studios travel arrangements and tracking costs
- Editing material for broadcast
- Sourcing and clearing material for broadcast and publishing
- Assisting with the on the day production of pre-recorded and live programmes
- Suggesting and developing new ideas for our programmes and podcasts
- Making fee and expense payments to guests
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Audio editing and other digital skills e.g. making and publishing podcast versions of radio programmes
- A team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- An interest in the subjects we cover in our programmes
- Knowledge of BBC production management systems
- Flexibility and the willingness to work on recorded and live output around the UK including Any Questions
