Mechanical Engineer, Automotive, Durability

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute comprehensive vehicle durability testing programs
• Develop and implement test control procedures and methodologies
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before during and after testing
• Perform static and dynamic assessments of vehicle components and systems
• Carry out precise vehicle measurements using advanced metrology equipment
• Supervise and manage test routes ensuring compliance with predefined testing conditions
• Monitor test events including major inspections maintenance schedules and measurements
• Analyze and interpret test data identifying potential issues or areas for improvement
• Prepare detailed test reports including data analysis and recommendations
• Download and verify data acquisition systems ensuring their accuracy and integrity
• Liaise with clients providing regular updates and technical insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize testing processes
• Develop and maintain test documentation including test plans and procedures
• Investigate and troubleshoot vehicle failures or anomalies during testing
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies in vehicle durability testing
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and equipment

Education 

• Degree in Mechanical Electrical Automotive Engineering or related field

Language Requirements:

• Fluent English
• Proficiency in additional languages is considered a significant advantage
