Anticipated Schedule: Mon Fri 8:00am 4:30pm
This position participates in the after-hours administrator on-call rotation; candidates must be available to provide after hours support as required.

Position Overview:
The Infection Prevention RN helps protect patients staff and families from preventable infections while keeping care aligned with comfort-focused goals. The position centers on surveillance staff education in collaboration with the Clinical Educator policy support and practical infection prevention and control measures such as hand hygiene PPE use cleaning and exposure response. Overall the job is about reducing infection risk in a way that supports compassionate end-of-life care.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Washington State.
2. Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Safety (BLS).
3. Washington State Food Worker Card issued by the Department of Health.
4. Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.
5. Strong teaching communication and public speaking skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
7. Knowledge of adult learning principles and educational methodologies.
8. Familiarity with infection control surveillance data analysis and reporting.
9. Availability to work weekends evenings nights and holidays as part of the administrator on-call rotation.
10. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and reliable transportation as driving is an essential function of this role. Must meet insurance eligibility requirements.
11. This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen which includes cannabis testing in Washington State
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in nursing or a related field.
2. Experience in clinical education and/or infection prevention.
3. Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse (CHPN) through the Hospice and Palliative Care Credentialing Center (HPCC)
4. Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
5. Hospice and/or palliative care experience.
6. Experience in supervision team leadership or staff development.
7. Bilingual in Spanish and English with the ability to speak read write and communicate effectively in both languages.

Compensation
Hiring Range: $ 37.67 - $ 57.22 per hour
$3000 Sign-On Bonus: New hires are eligible to receive a $3000 bonus upon successful completion of 90 days of continuous employment in good standing.
Premiums:
$2.50/hour Weeknight
$2.25/hour Weekend day
$4.75/hour Weekend Night
$4.00/hour On Call Standby
Note regarding the listed pay range:
At Tri-Cities Chaplaincy we carefully establish pay ranges for our positions by taking various factors into account including education certifications knowledge skills experience internal equity and market conditions. These ranges are tailored to match the diverse programs and services we offer. Our goal is to ensure fair compensation for candidates based on these factors while maintaining internal peer equity.
Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires depending on experience and qualifications.
Benefits
Vacation: Accrued each pay period based on your hours worked.
Sick Leave: Accrued in accordance with Washington State Sick Leave Law.
Wellness Days: After completion of the 90-day introductory period employees may convert up to two (2) accrued sick days annually into wellness days.
Paid Holidays: Ten (10) paid agency observed holidays per year available upon hire.
Bereavement Leave: Three (3) days for the loss of an immediate family member. Two (2) days for the loss of a household pet or service animal.
Community Volunteer Day (Yay Day): One (1) paid day annually for volunteer service granted each January.

Employer Paid-Benefits: Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance (1x annual salary) Long Term Disability Short Term Disability.

Voluntary Financial Protection Benefits: Hospital Indemnity Critical Illness and Accident Insurance.
Air Ambulance: Discounted rate for Life Flight.
Retirement 401(K) Plan: Employees may contribute upon hire; employer matching of up to 5% begins the following January or June depending on Hire date after 1 year of employment.
Mileage Reimbursement: $0.72 per mile for eligible positions. (Subject to change based on IRS rates)
Premium Pay: Bilingual (Spanish) pay premium (subject to proficiency verification through ALTA language services)
Certifications: Certification-based premium pay as applicable and approved.
Tuition Assistance: Up to $5250 annually after one (1) year of employment.
Professional Development: Access to continuing education through platforms such as Relias Learning and CAPC.

5. Transportation: Maintain reliable personal transportation. Maintain a valid drivers license and vehicle insurance per state requirements.
6. Health Requirements: Satisfy state and agency health requirements by providing proof of immunization declinations or approved accommodations as applicable.
7. Screenings: Pass criminal background and drug screenings.
8. Physical Demands: Meet the physical and environmental requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.(see attached physical requirements)
9. Training and Orientation: Complete agency and departmental orientation and required training programs.
10. Continuing Education: Complete ongoing education policy reviews and training be designated deadlines.
11. Licensure and Certification: Maintain current licensure(s) and certifications(s) required for the role.

13. Work Availability: Be available to work as assigned or scheduled.
