Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. This role requires a confident clinician who thrives in a fast-paced high-acuity environment and is capable of delivering exceptional patient care across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide rapid assessment triage and emergency care to patients with a wide range of acute and critical conditions
• Deliver patient-centered care for newborns pediatric adult and geriatric populations
• Initiate and manage life-saving interventions including cardiac monitoring IV therapy medication administration and airway management
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies such as stroke sepsis trauma cardiac arrest and respiratory failure
• Collaborate with physicians specialists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Operate and monitor specialized emergency equipment (e.g. Rapid Infusor Arctic Sun)
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR system
• Participate in patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies safety protocols and infection control standards
• Float to other units as required based on facility needs
• Serve in a charge nurse role when needed (highly preferred)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Pediatric (PEDS) experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Valid drivers license (address must match application details)
• Active New York RN license and all state licenses NURSYS verification required

Certifications Required

• AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIHSS (Stroke Certification)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Must be in hand at time of submission
