Job Summary
GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking an associate cad operator to join our team in the Pittsburgh PA office within our Power Generation sector and Water Resources Group. The successful candidate will enjoy working on civil engineering water resources projects in a challenging fast-paced and team-oriented environment that will utilize their college education and related work experience to develop professionally into a well-rounded engineer with the ability to grow in todays global environment. This is a temporary full-time position at 30-40 hours a week and up to a 6-month duration. Additional schedules will be considered. Required skills include critical thinking problem-solving organization team focus and eagerness to apply learned engineering principles to solve real-life problems.
Job Duties:
Assist engineers and project managers with day-to-day project tasks as required for successful project delivery. Tasks may include:
- Hydrologic and Hydraulic Analysis and Design
- Assist in Civil Engineering design and calculations for water wastewater and stormwater components of new development modification or remediation projects.
- Assist in water/wastewater process and pipeline design projects for industrial and municipal clients (power plants steel manufacturing and data center/mission critical facilities etc.).
- Participate in technical studies product design preparation of specifications and technical plans.
- Filling out and completing permit applications for processing.
- Field work may include water sampling site inspection and construction administration support including completing field observation reports.

Education
- Associate Degree from an accredited Technical School
Technical Responsibilities
- Basic 2-D line work and text edits. Plot and create PDF drawings. Perform red-line edits.âFollows basic QA/QC procedures. Assist with general office function such as printing and folding drawings

- Responsible for personal task management and adherence toâdeadlines and scope
Management Responsibility

- Close supervision on work assignments
