The Public Partnerships Division (PPD) within the Partnerships and Innovation Department (PI) plays a key role in WFPs recently launched Resource Mobilization strategy.
PPD has more than 250 employes based in HQ in Rome eleven Global Offices and three Centres of Excellences. It is responsible for partnerships with government financial institutions and programme countries across the globe. The Donor Accounts Team plays a key role in partnership-building fundraising and strategic engagement with donor countries across the Global HQ and in support of Country Office engagements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Research the latest news on donor progress to learn about the largest OECD DAC donors and build an understanding about donor policies development issues financing and trends. Share any relevant updates and insights with the team and relevant global teams.
Gather and update donor information to support global colleagues in their engagements and positioning with partners. Disseminate the analysis through corporate systems such as Salesforce among other.
Liaise with the key accounts team and other teams across the Public Partnerships Division to support the provision of guidance to country office engagement on the key donor accounts in support of resource mobilization proposals contract management and grant management.
Support the team with the preparation of donor meetings for senior management including during the Executive Board such as liaison with the respective front offices to book meetings preparation of material and drafting of agendas.
Provide technical support to the Government Partnerships Officers in their engagement with donors such as communications with donor capitals Embassies and Permanent Representations including drafting and editing of Note Verbales letters and other documents.
Liaise with other team members to contribute to government partner engagement strategies including donor visibility and engagement strategies outreach and positioning.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Masters student or a graduate in International Development Political Science International Relations Communications or similar field from a recognized university.
Excellent written and spoken English is required (proficiency/level C). Working knowledge of another official UN language (French Spanish Arabic Chinese Russian plus Portuguese) is an asset.
TRAINING COMPONENTS
Throughout the assignment selected candidates have access to an industry leading learning platform weLearn. Depending on opportunities and availability of funds he/she may participate in WFP workshops or seminars as appropriate.
LEARNING ELEMENTS
At the end of the assignment the selected candidate should have an understanding of donor intel analysis and how this applies to WFP operations an understanding of WFP tools and operations and knowledge of donor advocacy.
TYPE OF ASSIGNMENT
This opportunity is particularly well-suited for students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in an international organization. It offers valuable exposure to WFPs operations and the chance to contribute meaningfully to its mission. The selected candidate will receive IT equipment and training material; however financial compensation and medical coverage are not provided by WFP. Applicants may seek alternative funding opportunities such as university grants or external scholarships to support their assignment.
