Director of Surgical Services
Location: San Antonio TX Area
Compensation: $110000 $137000

Position Overview
The Director of Surgical Services will provide 24/7 leadership and operational oversight for the department ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care. This individual will play a key role in staff development clinical excellence and day-to-day surgical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mentor and develop surgical services staff including scheduling performance management and ongoing education
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient workflow high-quality care and strong patient outcomes
- Monitor and evaluate clinical performance ensuring adherence to physician orders and established care standards
- Develop and implement departmental policies goals and process improvements
- Participate in quality initiatives including infection control case management utilization review and performance improvement
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and operational efficiency
- Manage departmental budget including staffing and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and hospital standards
- Address and resolve staff and patient concerns in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications
- Current RN license (Texas or compact state)
- Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in surgical services
- Prior leadership or management experience required
- BLS/CPR and ACLS required
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to engage motivate and develop teams
