Intermediate District 287 is looking fora Senior Manager of Equity and Inclusion


Intermediate District 287 serves students in grades K-12 as well as transition age students (18-22 years old) from our 12 member districts in the west metro area. Our district offers a wide range of services and specialized programs primarily focused on setting IV special education that is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. Salary:Minimum starting salary for Administrative Senior Managers is $88000

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Advanced degree in education educational leadership social work public administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in K12 education or a related field
  • Experience supervising staff and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience working with diverse community populations including Alternative Learning Centers and Federal Setting III/IV special education programs.
  • Preferred: Professional background in social work or a closely related field with demonstrated application of trauma-informed and systems-based practices.

Licensure Certifications and other Requirements

  • Valid Minnesota K12 administrative license required:
    • K12 Principal License or
    • Director of Special Education License

Essential Functions

  • Assists the Executive Director of Equity Curriculum Instruction and Assessment with development implementation and monitoring of strategic plan goals;
  • Coordinates community partnership development related to supporting students;
  • Facilitates the district-wide family engagement team and other meetings;
  • Manages contracts with relevant community providers;
  • Supervises Equity and Inclusion Department Coordinators and other positions within the District;
  • Develops organizes schedules and presents training sessions to staff throughout the school year;
  • Participates in various administrative meetings associated with project development and funding issues. Attends community team meetings as required;
  • Partner with district and site leadership to embed equity across instructional operational and student support systems.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to identify disparities monitor progress and drive continuous improvement.
  • Direct and align the following programs to ensure strategic coherence and measurable outcomes:
    • American Indian Education
    • Family and Community Engagement
    • Diploma On
    • Full Service Community Schools
    • Equity Teams
  • Establish program goals monitor implementation and lead continuous improvement cycles.
  • Manage and monitor grant funding and program budgets aligned to equity initiatives.
  • Secure new funding opportunities to expand and sustain programming.
  • Ensure compliance with all fiscal and programmatic requirements
  • Integrate programs with district priorities including academic achievement engagement and student well-being.
