Job Summary

ROLE SUMMARY

Migraine is a common debilitating neurological disease affecting 40M people in the US. Surprisingly less than half of the 19.5M people living with Migraine are diagnosed. Less than half of those diagnosed are treated on Rx therapy. There is a segment of people living with migraine who are highly engaged in the disease and actively seeking new medications. There is another larger segment that has lost hope of finding a therapy that effectively addresses their condition. They have tried one treatment after another with no effect and have consequently lowered their expectations or have lost hope entirely. To fully achieve the brand ambition we must activate those seeking care and awaken the market that has gone dormant due to the cycle of past disappointments.

Many patients not only enjoy the benefit of reduced pain but experience such profound relief that they actually reimagine the type of person they want to be in the world In 2026 Nurtec must achieve high growth to achieve $1.6Bn sales which will require the introduction of breakthrough patient activation.

The Director Consumer Marketing will serve as the day-to-day lead for patient activation efforts including consumer strategy TV digital and point of care. They will be responsible for optimizing the success of Nurtecs branded Interrupter campaigns digital channels and campaign development for new indications and launches. This role will serve as the consumer lead for all market research messaging development RWE data promotion and develop brand OPDP preclearance strategy for new claims/campaigns.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owner of TV campaigns including review with leadership testing optimization OPDP submission shoots & editing/RC/finalization and digital pull through mapped to the right audience targeting
  • Lead strategic evaluation and omni channel asset development of new persuasive and breakthrough campaign for new indications and launches including Prevention and Menstrual Migraine
  • Collaborate with team members and CMO partners to ensure branded campaigns are amplified with the right message to the right audience across the paid owned and earned media landscape
  • Serve as Consumer lead to ensure strong insight generation including for market research messaging development and integration needed across the portfolio
  • Spearhead cross-functional collaboration with regulatory and medical colleagues to understand and pull through labeling data updates
  • Support annual consumer operating and tactical plan development process
  • Manage/oversee day-to-day with core consumer agency

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Bachelors degree and 8 years of pharmaceutical industry experience required
  • US Consumer marketing experience required inclusive of TV OPDP preclearance experience with a track record of significantly contributing to launch performance and/or growth of inline brands
  • Demonstrated strong consumer marketing insights including an understanding of consumer needs preferences and behaviors along the customer journey and ability to translate these into meaningful strategies and tactics
  • Demonstrated strong strategic thinking and analytic skills to measure attribution and drive marketing performance marketing mix improvements and higher ROI
  • Strong strategic skills with the ability to translate strategy and analysis to a tactical executable level
  • Ability to operate in an environment that continuously encourages the implementation of innovative ideas and fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork across functional teams
  • Innovative thinker who is excited by pioneering initiatives that may not have precedent
  • Ability to engage and influence team members even without direct reporting relationships

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $162900.00 to $271500.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
