Job Summary

American Driver is hiring CDL A drivers in Wilmington NC. Wilmington sits at the southern end of I-40 on the Carolina coast a strong starting point for drivers running Eastern OTR lanes with freight moving up and down I-95 and the Atlantic corridor.

New drivers are welcome. If you have your Class A CDL and have completed your school hours a fully paid training program is ready for you.

Training:

  • 46 weeks fully paid with a dedicated mentor
  • Live freight from day one real loads real routes
  • ELD HOS inspections and daily operations all covered
  • Weekly pay throughout training
  • Solo at $0.56 CPM after completion

What the Job Looks Like:

  • No-touch dry van freight
  • About 60% drop and hook
  • miles per week
  • Eastern routes with consistent year-round freight
  • Day and night dispatch

Pay:

  • $0.56$0.65 CPM based on experience
  • Most drivers earn $1200$1500 weekly
  • Stop layover and breakdown pay included
  • Six-month pay increase
  • $300 orientation pay
  • Weekly direct deposit

Home Time:

  • Every two weeks on a planned consistent schedule

Equipment:

  • Assigned Freightliner or Kenworth ()
  • APUs on all units

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL age 21
  • Completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL school required to enter our paid training program
