Job Summary
American Driver is recruiting CDL A drivers in Sumter SC. Sumter sits in the heart of South Carolina with easy access to I-95 and I-20 well positioned for Eastern OTR lanes running year-round.
This is a full-time W2 position with a fully paid training program and a dedicated mentor to get you road-ready.
How the Training Works:
- Fully paid 46 week program alongside an experienced mentor
- Live freight from week one real routes real deadlines
- Covers ELD compliance HOS rules pre/post trip inspections and daily operations
- Weekly paycheck from day one of training
- After completion solo pay starts at $0.56 CPM
A Typical Week on the Road:
- No-touch dry van freight
- Roughly 60% drop and hook
- miles per week
- Eastern OTR lanes with reliable year-round freight
- Mix of day and night dispatch based on load availability
What Youll Earn:
- $0.56$0.65 CPM depending on experience
- Most drivers take home $1200$1500 weekly
- Additional pay for stops layovers and breakdowns
- Automatic pay review at six months
- $300 orientation pay
- Direct deposit every week
Home Time:
- Planned home time every two weeks consistent and predictable
Equipment:
- Late-model Freightliner or Kenworth ()
- All trucks equipped with APUs

Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL age 21
- Graduates of an accredited CDL program with at least 120 hours of instruction are eligible for our paid training program
- No major violations in last 3 years
- No DUI in last 5 years
- Must pass urine and hair follicle drug test
