P-Occupational Therapist Assistant

Position: Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA)

Salary Range: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday with a weekend rotation

Location: 115 bed skilled nursing facility

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our team. As a P-OTA you will work under the supervision of our licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitation services to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in implementing treatment plans to help our residents regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating residents functional abilities and developing individualized treatment plans

- Implement treatment plans and monitor residents progress

- Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve residents strength range of motion and coordination

- Educate residents and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment to promote independence

- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care for our residents

- Document residents progress and maintain accurate records

- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans

- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols

Qualifications:

- Associates degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program

- Current state OTA license

- CPR certification

- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

- Willingness to work a weekend rotation as needed
