Job Title: Occupational Therapist Assistant
Salary Range: $28-$35 per hour
Job Type: Full-time Monday-Friday 35 hours per week (flexible as needed)
Location: Hayesville North Carolina
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients. As an Occupational Therapist Assistant you will work closely with our Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients with physical cognitive and developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients following the treatment plan set by the Occupational Therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises to improve daily living skills and independence
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and procedures
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of new treatment strategies and programs
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate patient and empathetic attitude towards patients
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical record systems
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $28-$35 per hour depending on experience and addition we provide a comprehensive benefits package including medical dental and vision insurance paid time off retirement savings plan and opportunities for professional development and growth.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position Monday-Friday with no weekend rotation. The standard workweek is 35 hours but we are open to discussing flexible scheduling options as needed.
