CALENDAR: 202Days Per Year (Team B prorated based on start date)

SALARY:Range A ($18.18 - $25.16)

JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT/S: The position of Delivery Assistant/Driver I transports school and dining services supplies mail dining services revenue from district buildings over designated routes. This driver is also responsible for loading and unloading delivered items.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Drive vehicles for the purpose of transporting supplies to designated sites.
• Report vehicle maintenance requirements to supervisor.
• Prepare daily and weekly bank deposits from dining service revenue.
• Prepare shipments for the purpose of filling orders.
• Unload items for the purpose of distributing shipment to assigned site locations and/or individuals.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.

REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience Preferred:Experience in delivery transportation loading and unloading.
• Skills Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:

Skills to safely drive utility vehicle. Operate vehicles for extended periods of time. Develop good rapport with other employees.

Knowledge of safe driving practices.

Abilities to walk for prolonged periods understand and carry out oral and written instructions drive for extended periods read maps and schedules adhere to route schedules and maintain written records. Significant physical abilities include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling stooping/crouching reaching/handling talking/hearing conversations near/far visual acuity/depth perception/visual accommodation/field of vision. Some assignments may require working in inclement conditions.

• Education Required:High School diploma or equivalent.
• Licenses Bonding and/or Testing Required:Valid drivers license and Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary to be established on classified salary schedule.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Boards Policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel. Reports to the Dining Services Supervisor.
