Overnight Camp Counselor

Overnight Camp Counselors spend the day outdoors leading interactive activities with up to 14 campers. Evenings are special and inspiring with night hikes and community building around the bonfire. On Fridays a Shabbat festival concludes with a beautiful Shabbat service and a special meal. Saturday is spent engaging in restful Shabbat friendly :Engaging campers in activities that introduce them to the natural a safe spacephysically and emotionallyfor campers through proper and leading outdoor camp activities alone or with co-counselors and and participating in games pool and creek activities art workshops cooking and song with an immersive and meaningful Shabbat up breaking down cleaning and putting away all materials overnight in the bunkhouse (or Wilderness Village) with campers (which may require lifting more than 40lbs).Physical Demands:Independently move 2-3 miles per day (3-4 miles per day for campers 8 years of age) over uneven terrain (mud rock grass steep inclines gravel).Be comfortable in a rustic outdoor environment with limited air-conditioning varying weather conditions (including heat cold wind rain) insects/animals and grass/dirt/: $1440 from Aug 2 through Aug 13Training will take place the week prior at a lower weekly prior skills and experience include:Experience working with camp outdoor or youth in an overnight possess a solid work ethic with strong organizational and time-management skills excellent attention to detail professional verbal and written communication skills as well as provide excellent customer maintain a professional be able to adapt to changing job description does not state or imply that the above are the only duties and responsibilities assigned to the position.
