Job Title: Safety Project Manager
Location: Boston MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months
Position Overview
Navitas Partners LLC is seeking an experienced Safety Project Manager to support a Policy Strategy and Oversight function within an Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) environment. This role will focus on developing and implementing safety-critical processes ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Investigations
- Establish and implement an internal investigations framework within the E&M function
- Define investigation thresholds and communication protocols with regulatory authorities
- Lead and perform investigation activities including root cause analysis and corrective action planning
- Document and communicate investigation findings to stakeholders
- Collaborate with safety teams and departmental leadership on investigation processes
Corrective Actions Management
- Design and implement tools to manage regulatory corrective actions across E&M
- Develop streamlined workflows to consolidate corrective actions from multiple sources
- Enhance tracking reporting and closure processes for corrective actions
- Ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational compliance standards
Audits & Safety Assurance
- Develop and implement department-wide safety assurance programs aligned with OSHA standards
- Create supporting documentation including audit schedules checklists and performance metrics
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deploy and maintain safety assurance activities
- Monitor effectiveness of safety programs and recommend improvements
Additional Responsibilities
- Support leadership with strategic initiatives and special projects
- Contribute to organizational safety culture and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Proven experience in safety management project management or related field
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Experience with incident investigations and root cause analysis methodologies
- Ability to develop processes workflows and documentation from the ground up
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
