Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with Mamanis recipes and standards maintaining a clean and organized workstation and contributing to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook food items according to Mamanis recipes quality standards and presentation guidelines
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before each service
Execute menu items efficiently and accurately during high-volume service periods
Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation throughout the shift
Follow proper food handling storage and sanitation procedures in compliance with health and safety regulations
Communicate clearly and effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff
Assist with receiving storing and rotating food inventory
Participate in prep work including chopping marinating and portioning ingredients
Adapt to changing menu items and daily specials as directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef
Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications
1 years of experience as a line cook in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
Knowledge of various cooking techniques methods and kitchen equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment while maintaining quality and composure
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Food handlers certification or willingness to obtain one
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Flexible availability including evenings weekends and holidays
