Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg Tele (Orthopedic Unit)
Location: Columbia SC
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule

• Shift: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (19:00 07:30)
• Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 16 hours (Non-billable)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med/Surg Orthopedic unit with floating responsibilities to MS/Telemetry units. This role requires strong orthopedic and telemetry experience along with the ability to adapt in a high-acuity hospital environment. Candidates must be comfortable with cardiac monitoring and completing an EKG competency during onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in Med/Surg Orthopedic and Telemetry units
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Deliver post-operative orthopedic care
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Float to other units as required based on competency
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Unit Details

• Unit: Med/Surg Orthopedic (floating to MS/Tele)
• Patient Ratio: 1:56
• Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric
• Additional Requirement: EKG exam during onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN License or Compact License
• Minimum 1 year recent MS/Tele experience in large facility
• Strong Orthopedic experience required
• Minimum 1 year Epic EMR experience
• Certifications: BLS ACLS (Required)
• Charge experience preferred
