Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Location: Mission Viejo CA 92691 Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:
Shift: Day (4x10-Hour Shifts)
Hours: 08:00 AM 06:30 PM
Note: Variable start times as early as 07:00 AM
Compensation:
Travel Pay: Up to $3000/week (for candidates residing 50 miles away)
Local Pay: Up to $2320/week (for candidates within 50 miles)
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a contract opportunity in a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing a wide range of nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures
Conduct scans including bone cardiac renal thyroid and lung studies
Prepare handle and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with safety protocols
Ensure adherence to radiation safety and patient care standards
Float between Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT units as needed
Maintain accurate documentation (Epic experience preferred)
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience (2 years required for first-time travelers)
PET/CT experience preferred (at least 6 months strongly preferred)
Experience in a hospital setting required
Ability to work across multiple units (Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT)
Willingness to take on-call shifts and rotating weekends
Flexibility to work variable shifts and occasional overtime
Certifications:
ARRT (N) or NMTCB (Required)
BLS Certification (Required)
Education:
Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
