Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Mission Viejo CA 92691
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:
- Shift: Day (4x10-Hour Shifts)
- Hours: 08:00 AM 06:30 PM
- Note: Variable start times as early as 07:00 AM
Compensation:
- Travel Pay: Up to $3000/week (for candidates residing 50 miles away)
- Local Pay: Up to $2320/week (for candidates within 50 miles)
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a contract opportunity in a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing a wide range of nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures
- Conduct scans including bone cardiac renal thyroid and lung studies
- Prepare handle and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with safety protocols
- Perform venipuncture and maintain IV access
- Operate imaging equipment (Siemens experience preferred)
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety and patient care standards
- Float between Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT units as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation (Epic experience preferred)
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience (2 years required for first-time travelers)
- PET/CT experience preferred (at least 6 months strongly preferred)
- Experience in a hospital setting required
- Ability to work across multiple units (Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT)
- Willingness to take on-call shifts and rotating weekends
- Flexibility to work variable shifts and occasional overtime
Certifications:
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
Education:
- Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
