$103956 salary package - includes base salary $91590 plus employers contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (paid pro rata for part time position)

About the role

Were seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Childrens Education students by joining our team of Assessors for the following opportunities:

  • 1 x Permanent Full-Time position Randwick campus
  • 1 x Permanent Part-Time position Ultimo campus (17.5 hours per week)
  • 1 x Permanent Full-Time position Ultimo campus

As an Assessor you will carry out independent assessments and grading for students with a focus to support students in achieving the completion of tasks and identify areas that may require further training.

You will work within a team of industry professionals in an engaging environment and provide facilitation to students undertaking work placement. You will also assess students during their simulations for practical skills.

Successful candidates in this role will be required to support students whilst they take on practical experience either in an Early Childhood Education setting or on TAFE NSW campus.

Note: This role does not teach or deliver training.

About You

You are a dedicated Vocational Education and Training (VET) professional with a strong understanding of compliance and handson experience conducting and moderating assessments. Organised proactive and approachable you communicate clearly embrace digital tools and genuinely enjoy supporting adult learners. You value inclusive relationships and take pride in motivating learners and helping them succeed

To be successful in the role you will:

  1. Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills and at minimum hold a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood (AQF level 7) AND a post graduate qualification (AQF level 8) in a related field.
  2. Have a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications gained no longer than five years previously.
  3. Evidence of holding the appropriate qualifications to assess Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details.
  4. Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
