What you will do

  • Perform technical safety reviews of systems processes equipment and operations
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments using structured methodologies
  • Evaluate safety impacts of system changes modifications and field conditions
  • Develop and maintain hazard logs risk matrices and mitigation strategies
  • Provide technical advisory support on safety risks system performance and compliance
  • Prepare safety reports hazard analyses and technical evaluations
  • Analyze safety data and trends to identify emerging risks and improvement opportunities
  • Support audits regulatory reviews and compliance documentation
  • Participate in field reviews site visits and operational observations
  • Coordinate with safety engineering operations and maintenance teams

What you bring

  • 5 plus years of experience in safety analysis risk assessment or technical safety roles
  • Experience in transit transportation infrastructure or regulated environments preferred
  • Experience conducting hazard analyses or safety assessments
  • Experience preparing technical reports and documentation
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and technical writing skills
  • Working knowledge of safety management systems and risk mitigation practices
  • Familiarity with OSHA FTA or similar regulatory frameworks


Nice to have

  • Experience with system safety methods such as hazard analysis or FMEA
  • Experience supporting rail bus or multimodal transit systems
  • Certifications such as ASP CSP SMS or engineering licensure
  • Experience with safety-critical systems or infrastructure
  • Experience building dashboards or data-driven reporting tools

Compensation

$40.87 $55.29 Hourly depending on experience certifications and qualifications
