What The Role Entails
The Accounting Manager will manage the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities for our various corporate development entities located in Asia PAC including but not limited to Singapore Japan and addition the Accounting Manager will manage day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities over data center entities with commercial operations. Along with the Chief Accounting Officer and the Controller the Accounting Manager will be responsible for protecting company assets by establishing monitoring and enforcing internal controls.
What You Will Get to Do
Prepare and review journal entries
Prepare the allocation of company expenses and overhead costs
Prepare account variance analysis and reconciliations
Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial statements including the associated work packages to senior management
Review invoices for proper coding and prepare for payment
Review all cross-company transactions and prepare invoices as required
Prepare monthly drawdown packages for submission to lenders with review by the Accounting Controller
Lead the compilation of financial data and other audit requirements
Prepare monthly tenant and customer invoices
Assist with other accounting projects as required
Work closely with external stakeholders
Occasional travel to locations customer meetings training courses or conferences as desired and required
Support VAT / GST return preparation in conjunction with indirect tax team
Supervision and training of young professionals in accounting
Requirements
Ability to train and motivate other colleagues
Ability to complement and advise senior management at all levels
Experience in creating and sustaining a culture of success through hands-on problem-solving
Strong quantitative skills Strong US GAAP Singapore GAAP and IFRS knowledge preferred additional APAC Local GAAPs experience is an added advantage.
Consolidation knowledge preferred
FX accounting experience preferred
Cash flow preparation experience preferred
Experience dealing with external stakeholders.
Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks on time or ahead of schedule while maintaining accuracy
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail required
Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities
Communication skills that allow effective relationships with all levels of employee constituents and external constituents.
Experience with companies that value customer service
Task oriented results driven and capable of multi-tasking in a very exciting environment
Proven technical skills with MS Office applications
Experience with Yardi or similar software experience is preferred
Experience with real estate preferred
Excellent analytical technical and organizational skills
Excellent work ethic and desire to do what it takes to get it done right the first time
A strong desire to constantly seek ways to drive organizational improvement
Our Ideal Candidate Will Also Possess
Chartered Accountant or equivalent in Singapore preferred
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
At least seven (7) years of professional accounting experience
Must be local to Singapore
Must be fluent in English
Strong preference but not necessary for a secondary language in Malay Japanese Thai and/or Korean
