We are seeking an Allied Health qualified and experienced Regional Injury Management advisor to join our team in Victoria. This 2 year fixed term contract focuses on developing and managing injury management strategies that facilitate early recovery and durable return-to-work outcomes for our workforce. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate the impact of workplace injuries and foster a safety-driven culture in line with Tolls values. Overseeing the Victorian Region along with 2 others this role requires travel across various northside sites in VIC to work closely with line and senior leaders to achieve continuous improvement in return-to-work outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of VIC workers compensation injuries and claims.
- Implement and maintain effective injury management and return-to-work strategies.
- Develop graded return-to-work plans for complex injuries and assist managers with suitable duty options.
- Arrange and attend case conferences with injured workers and treating doctors to ensure appropriate duties and recovery.
- Provide training for line managers on proactive workplace rehabilitation and early intervention.
- Actively manage healthcare and occupational rehabilitation providers ensuring appropriate treatment and cost control.
- Conduct Job Task Analysis for selected roles across VIC.
- Identify and establish programs to control medical and related costs.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health (e.g. Occupational Therapy Physiotherapy Exercise Physiology).
- Minimum 5 years experience in injury management or return-to-work roles.
- In-depth knowledge of rehabilitation and return-to-work legislation.
- Proven experience managing complex and serious injury claims.
- Strong coaching and training experience in return-to-work and rehabilitation programs.
- Ability to manage injury prevention strategies and support recovery processes.
- Occupational First Aid Certificate (preferred).
- RTW Coordinator Certificate or exemption (if required).
