About the Role:

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of GIS project lifecycles ensuring timely and accurate delivery
- Create edit and maintain complex geospatial datasets and custom maps
- Manage and maintain the CLIENT Enterprise GIS platform providing technical support to staff
- Administer ArcGIS Online (AGOL) environments including data and map publishing
- Collaborate with web developers to publish interactive maps to organizational websites
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from enterprise databases
- Develop Python scripts to automate and streamline GIS processes
- Ensure data and maps meet web accessibility standards
- Support the data solutions team with additional GIS-related tasks as needed
Required Skills and Experience:
- 1-4 years of hands-on experience with ESRI ArcGIS Professional ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise
- Proficiency in creating editing and publishing geospatial data and maps
- Experience working with US Census Bureau data sources
- Strong Python scripting abilities for ArcGIS process automation
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and database management
- Bachelor s degree in GIS Geography or related field
Preferred Skills:
- GIS Professional (GISP) certification
- ESRI ArcGIS Professional Certification
- Experience with web accessibility standards for GIS applications
- Advanced knowledge of Azure-based virtual environments
