Job Summary

Backend/API Engineer (Azure) - W2

Location: Madison WI or West Bend WI (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 12 Months Contract
Interview: Virtual round

Must-Have Skills

Strong backend/API engineering experience
Hands-on with:
- REST APIs
- Event-driven architecture
Experience in Agile delivery environments
Ability to:
- Work independently (spec build test deliver)
- Write unit tests
Comfortable in:
- Fast-paced greenfield environments
- Ambiguous / evolving team structures

Nice-to-Have

Experience with Azure DevOps & CI/CD pipelines
Background in legacy system modernization
Data transformation / mapping experience
Basic exposure to React
Insurance experience is a big plus

Ideal Candidate Profile

Mid-to-Senior level engineer
Plug-and-play resource (minimal onboarding)
Strong executor (not focused on architecture/strategy)
Comfortable:
