This full-time on-site Machinist - Swiss Style Lathe role is based in San Diego CA. The individual in this position will be responsible for operating and setting up Swiss-style lathes to produce precision components. Day-to-day tasks may include programming troubleshooting machines and tooling performance optimization inspecting finished parts for quality assurance and maintaining equipment. Collaboration with the production team to ensure product excellence and timely delivery is a key aspect of the role.
Qualifications
Experience in operating and/or programming Swiss-style CNC lathes (e.g. Star Citizen Tsugami Nomura)
Proficiency in interpreting blueprints engineering drawings and GD&T standards
Experience in setting up troubleshooting and maintaining precision machining equipment
Knowledge in tooling selection and optimization to achieve tight tolerances and superior finishes
Strong skills in measuring and inspecting parts using micrometers calipers and other precision tools
Ability to identify production issues and implement solutions effectively
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role or equivalent training
Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 13485 quality standards is an advantage
Familiarity or experience with ESPRIT is a plus
Detail-oriented committed to meeting deadlines and adept at working in a team environment
