About Business line/Function: Bolivar is an in-house Swing based UI application catering to Securities Lending and Borrowing Business of GECD. It uses Java technologies like spring Hibernate and webservices. It also uses SQL 2017 server database (1200 tables 1700 stored procedures massive concurrent access). Also being mordernised with introduction of In-memory cachec Kafka Microservioces etc.

Position Purpose: The role is for an excellent Java Developer to contribute to project for technical enhancement and functional changes within Bolivar application. The candidate will be working with highly motivated professionals who take pride in the quality of their output and it is expected to continue. The person will be involved in the full Software Development Lifecycle applying Agile methodologies tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

- Will be part of development & maintenance activities

- The person also has to take responsibility of release management activities on rotational basis

- Participate to IT support on a rotation basis

- Required to Interact with various stakeholders (BA APS QA Users)

- Writing technical specifications

- Unit testing every produced or changed code

- Supporting User Acceptance Testing proactively ensuring that the applications and the environments are in an optimal state and promptly reacting to any issue or difficulty

Contributing Responsibilities

- Exposure to Agile technologies

- Interest in Financial domain mainly in Securities world (BO settlement Swift)

- Willing to share knowledge and skills with other developers within the team

- Be self-driven able to work under pressure in a sometimes-challenging environment and to work to deadlines.
