This contract position is an excellent opportunity for entry-level professionals to gain valuable experience in a supportive and dynamic medical practice environment.
As a Locum MD you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care diagnosing and treating a variety of health conditions and contributing to the overall well-being of our community. This on-site position allows you to work closely with experienced healthcare professionals ensuring that you develop your skills and knowledge in family medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Participate in continuing education and training programs
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of California
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of family medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Basic understanding of electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced medical setting
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
No call requirement
Setting: Outpatient ambulatory clinic
Patient Census: 15-18 per day
Patient Population: Ages 18
Support Staff: MAs/MORs
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
