We are now strengthening our R&D Hardware team with a Mechanical Engineer that will be part of driving the mechanical design of our nextgeneration sound processors. About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer in our Implant Systems R&D team you will be part of the mechanical hardware design of our sound processors and collaborate closely with electronics industrial design manufacturing and suppliers. You will work throughout the development lifecyclefrom early concept through verification and industrialization.
We are looking for an autonomous handson Mechanical Engineer who takes responsibility for their design area while enjoying close teamwork. You dont need to be senior but you should be skilled independent and eager to learn.
Your responsibilities include:
- Designing precision mechanical parts and assemblies for small complex audio devices.
- Creating and maintaining 3D/2D CAD models in PTC Creo.
- Contributing to and converting industrial design into manufacturable mechanical solutions.
- Integrating mechanical designs with electronics
- Building testing and iterating prototypes together with electronics and systems engineers.
- Performing verification activities including vibration durability and environmental testing.
- Documenting work in accordance with internal processes
- Managing design updates risk assessments and regulatory compliance.
- Supporting supplier collaboration for tooling molding manufacturing and assembly.
You likely have:
- A BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
- 37 years of experience in mechanical product development.
- Strong CAD skills preferably in Creo.
- Experience with fine mechanics plastic components or compact electromechanical devices.
- Experience collaborating with electronics industrial design and suppliers.
- Understanding of design in regulated environments.
- A proactive structured and solutionoriented mindset.
- Fluency in English spoken and written.

This requires an engineer who is comfortable discussing tolerances materials process constraints and manufacturability directly with external partners.
