The Opportunity
Our Australian Steel Markets business is looking for a Logistics Assets Leader in our Processing and Logistics team based in Port Kembla NSW.
The Logistics Asset Leader position focuses on strategic management and maintenance of the Port Kembla rail infrastructure Supply Chain Warehouses and property assets. The role provides engineering expertise ensuring safety compliance and operational efficiency.
What Will You Do
- Lead strategic safety improvement initiatives internally and with key service providers;
- Minimise operational costs in line with organisational objectives;
- Manage and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and
- Ensure facilities and rail networks are maintained to appropriate standards within budgetary requirements
Youll also be instrumental in expanding and managing our warehousing portfolio including WT/XT and an increased footprint in addition you will oversee crane operations including managing and scheduling all maintenance activities.
- Lead and maintain leasing from NSW Ports for South Yard rail infrastructure
- Support warehousing growth strategies (WT/XT CRM footprint)
- Oversee all CRM electrical assets and supervise switchrooms
- Manage crane maintenance scheduling and optimisation
More About You
An Engineering professional with either Mechanical/Electrical/Civil experience with strong background in Asset Management. You will have:
- demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems and address potential issues
- professional experience with collaborative and consultative processes
- ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
- experience in a heavy industry environment
- influencing and change management abilities
- strong working knowledge of Rail Infrastructure and industry requirements
