Job Summary
PART-TIME SUBSTITUTE BUS DRIVER
GLOW Academy in Wilmington is seeking experienced bus driver substitutes with their CDL and S and P endorsements for the 2024-2025 school year. GLOW is an all-girls Public Charter School serving grades 6-12.
Position Details:
- Reports To: Transportation Coordinator
- Compensation: Based off of FY 2024-25 NHC Bus Hourly Pay Schedule
- Current Pay Schedule Range: $18.50 - $23.10 per hour
Duties and Expectations:
- Transport children to and from school in the mornings and afternoons on an as needed basis.
- Verify permissions for children who ride home with friends.
- Maintain a clean and mechanically-sound bus at all times.
- Obey all traffic laws.
- Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route.
- Ensure safety of all students.
- Assist students with getting on and off the bus when required.
- CPR a plus!
Requirements:
- CDL - Class B with Passenger and School Endorsements
- Background Check
- Pre-Employment Drug Screen
Schedule:
- Morning: Approximately 6:30am - 9:00am
- Afternoon: Approximately 3:30pm - 5:00pm
