Job Summary
The Sapling School is seeking a dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team in Kendall Park NJ. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and eager to support a nurturing and engaging classroom environment. The successful candidate must be available to work between 9 AM and 6 PM to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent care for our students.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Supervise and engage with children to promote social emotional and educational development.
- Maintain a safe clean and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate with parents and staff regarding student progress and needs.
- Support classroom routines and schedules including snack nap and outdoor play times.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Availability to work between 9 AM and 6 PM.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
