Description

The Clinical Fellow at the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic will provide evidence-based treatment toveterans service members and their families. The Fellow will gain training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) within the first 6 months of employment and should be skilled at offering treatment in a measurement-based time-limited treatment environment. The Fellow must have background in utilizing evidence-basedinterventions in the assessment and treatment of mood disorders Post Traumatic Stress Disorder andadjustment disorders. Qualified candidates will be proficient in providing individual couples and familytherapy with an emphasis on delivering evidence-based care. Masters degree from an accredited university isstrongly preferred. Credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate LMFT Associate or LMSW attime of hire with the intent to gather licensure hours under an internally appointed state-approved supervisor is required



Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide evidence-based treatment and assessment for veterans and their families. After initial trainingphase caseloads will gradually build to 20 contact hours with clients weekly.
Performs and documents client screenings biopsychosocial assessments and progress and referralinformation. Conduct clinical intake assessments on veterans and family members as needed. Provideindividual couples and family psychotherapy to patients with a focus on delivering evidence-basedtreatments.
Collaborates and coordinates with the caregiver physician director case management and all otherdisciplines to provide the best care to patients as needed.
Attend weekly clinical supervision and administrative meetings.
Provide services via telehealth platform as required.
Perform other duties as required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION: A Masters degree in counseling and licensed to practice as a Licensed Professional CounselorAssociate; or a Masters degree in marriage and family therapy and licensed to practice as a Licensed Marriageand Family Therapist Associate; or a Masters degree in social work with intent to become a Licensed ClinicalSocial Worker. Masters degree from an accredited university is as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate LMFT Associate or LMSW at time of hire with theintent to gather licensure hours under an internally appointed Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisorrequired.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one year of practicum/internship experience during graduate school workingwith adults children couples and families is required; Knowledge in DSM-5-TR diagnoses is required;Experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment is required. Experience working with military populations and/orVeterans is strongly preferred; Excellent writing and oral communication skills; Must be highly organized anddetail oriented. Must have working knowledge of Outlook Word and Excel; PowerPoint and Access a plus;must have strong math skills; must have knowledge of clinical services and community resources. Interestdesire and passion in providing high quality evidence-based time-limited care.

ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employerssole discretion. Must be available to work nights as required to meet business needs. Must not pose a directthreat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others. Employee shouldexpect to work one evening a week to accommodate the schedules of the clients being served in addition toregularly scheduled hours.

LICENSES: Drivers License with clear record.

VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
