Senior Backend Developer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong technical leadership skills to help shape and evolve our backend platform. You will act as a technical reference for the team take ownership of backend architecture improve code quality and engineering standards and help drive a more mature engineeringfocused culture.

You will work on a SaaS platform built 10 running primarily on Azure PaaS in an international English-speaking environment.

Responsibilities

• Design build and evolve scalable secure and maintainable backend systems.
• Lead backend development efforts driving technical design and architectural decisions.
• Be a technical reference for the team also support and mentor other engineers
• Own the full software lifecyclefrom concept and design to deployment monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Work across modern and legacy systems
• Collaborate with product frontend and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Champion engineering excellence by promoting best practices (Clean Code SOLID testing strategies).
• Architect and implement distributed systems and event-driven solutions.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast reliable delivery.
• Ensure system reliability performance and observability in production environments.
• Mentor and support other developers through code reviews knowledge sharing and technical guidance.
• Contribute to technical documentation and ensure knowledge is shared effectively across the team.

Qualifications :

• 7 years of experience in backend development primarily / C#.
• Strong experience designing scalable and maintainable systems.
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles (Clean Architecture Domain-Driven Design (DDD) unit/integration testing).
• Hands-on experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Solid experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server) and ORM tools such as Entity Framework Core.
• Experience with distributed or service-oriented architectures.
• Experience integrating authentication and authorization solutions (e.g. Auth0)
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous communication patterns and messaging systems (e.g. RabbitMQ Kafka Service Bus).
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure Functions Azure Event Hubs Azure Storage and Azure AI Search
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
• Experience with monitoring logging and observability in production systems
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments
• Prior experience in technical leadership or tech lead capacity
