AWS Cloud Optimization Engineer

We are looking for an analytical and collaborative AWS DevOps professional to help manage evaluate and optimize our AWS cloud usage and costs across multiple this role you will combine technical AWS knowledge with strong analytical thinking to identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining performance scalability and reliability. You will work closely with engineering DevOps and application teams to influence design and operational decisions helping build sustainable cloud cost practices over time. You will report to the Director of DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Analyze AWS usage and cost data across applications and environments to understand spend drivers and trends
• Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities such as rightsizing scheduling storage optimization and removing unused resources
• Partner with application teams architects and engineers to recommend costefficient architecture and operational improvements
• Review application infrastructure and cloud designs to ensure AWS services are used effectively and responsibly
• Create dashboards reports and KPIs that provide clear visibility into cloud spend savings and anomalies
• Promote and support FinOps best practices including governance tagging standards forecasting and ongoing cost accountability

Qualifications :

• 4 years of handson experience working with AWS services in a DevOps cloud engineering or architecturefocused role
• Solid understanding of AWS cost drivers including services such as EC2 RDS S3 EKS/ECS Lambda networking and data platforms
• Experience analyzing cloud usage data and turning insights into actionable cost optimization recommendations
• Knowledge of modern application architectures including containers microservices and cloudnative deployment patterns
• Familiarity with AWS cost management tools such as Cost Explorer budgets and reporting or analytics dashboards
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain both technical and financial concepts to diverse audiences
