AWS platform Support Engineer
Job Summary
Roles & Responsibilities :
Assess existing on-premises or legacy systems and define appropriate migration strategies (Rehost Replatform Refactor)
Plan and execute migration of applications databases and workloads to AWS
Perform post-migration validation testing and performance tuning
Document migration processes architecture and configurations
Provision configure and manage AWS resources (EC2 S3 RDS VPC IAM etc.)
Ensure high availability scalability and performance of cloud infrastructure
Implement monitoring using CloudWatch and other tools
Respond to alerts troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA)
Provide L2/L3 production support and ensure timely issue resolution
Implement IAM roles policies and access controls
Ensure data security encryption and compliance with organizational standards
Perform regular patching vulnerability assessments and audits
Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
Automate deployments and operational tasks
Support CI/CD pipelines and release management
Qualifications :
Educational qualification::
Bachelor of Engineering in computer science or Information Technology.
Experience :
3 to 5 years of experience AWS EC2 Migration and Maintenance.
Mandatory/requires Skills :
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2 S3 RDS VPC IAM)
Experience in cloud migration projects
Proficiency in Linux system administration
Good understanding of networking (DNS Load Balancing VPN)
Experience in scripting (Python Bash)
Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker Kubernetes Jenkins)
Preferred Skills :
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect / SysOps / DevOps Engineer)
Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch Prometheus Grafana)
Knowledge of security and compliance best practices
