As a Food & Beverage Supervisor you will:

  • Must have the ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer service which is essential to the success of this position.
  • Remain on the floor during peak hours and communicate with guests to receive feedback. Monitor each guest experience to ensure satisfaction and resolution of complaints.
  • Work with Culinary Team on seamless delivery of food and beverage service.
  • Greets customer contact prior to the start of each major function and maintains contact throughout the function to ensure that all arrangements are satisfactory.
  • Ensure staff adheres to safety and sanitation guidelines provided by North Carolina Department of Health.
  • Properly allocate Food & Beverage team members for optimal guest experience across all department functions.
  • Maintain high performance from all Food & Beverage staff and coordinate training as needed. Observe teach and coach staff on proper service when needed.
  • Must be able to follow through on tasks with minimal supervision and oversight.
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays rotating AM/PM shifts.

Essential Elements:

The Food & Beverage Supervisor will assist the hotel management team in overseeing all service within the Fork Lore restaurant and bar areas in-room dining as well as supporting banquet operations to ensure optimum guest satisfaction and create an impeccable environment of service. Supports and guides all Food & Beverage team members in providing outstanding dining experiences to guests and clients of the hotel. Able to utilize and maintain Hilton brand standards in every function performed and assimilate into Hilton culture of Blue Energy through understanding supporting and participating in all elements and hotel programs.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Basic mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in restaurants.
  • Ability to read write speak and understand the English language to communicate effectively with guests and employees.
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers some of whom will require high levels of patience tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and resolve conflict.
  • Detail-orientation and organizational skills with the ability to collect and analyze accurate information.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system including Hilton property management and Open Table reservation systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidates will possess a combination of education and/or experience equivalent to an Associates Degree in Hospitality field and a minimum of two (2) years food service experience preferably in supervisory role. Experience working in a hotel Food & Beverage is a plus.

Physical:

Must be able to lift and carry at least 35 pounds on a tray or arm service where it applies. Requires finger agility grasping writing constant standing sitting frequent walking stooping bending repetitive motions hearing and visual insight. Must be able to work with cleaning products and solvents on a daily basis.
