Ruah is proud to have been appointed by the Mental Health Commission to deliver the Community Supported Residential Units (CSRU) program reflecting a sustained investment in stable highquality residential mental health support in regional Western Australia through to June 2028.

About the Role

The Support Worker Community Supported Residential Units (CSRU) is a frontline clientfacing role supporting residents with complex mental health needs to build independence well-being and participation in the community.

Supported by the Team Lead Support Coordinators Peer Workers and Engagement Workers you will assist residents with daily living activities and provide recoveryfocused strengthsbased support aligned to individual care plans and risk assessments.

This role plays an important part in creating a safe respectful and supportive residential environment and requires flexibility empathy and strong interpersonal skills.

This is a fulltime fixedterm position offered on an initial maximum term contract of 24 months with the possibility of extension subject to ongoing funding and operational requirements.

What were looking for

The successful applicant will bring:

  • Completion of or progress toward a relevant Certificate II or III and/or relevant experience or lived experience
  • Ability to engage respectfully with people with varying and complex needs
  • Capacity to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Ability to model positive behaviours emotional maturity and resilience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and client systems
  • Alignment with Ruahs vision mission and values
  • Understanding of diversity inclusion and Aboriginal culture

Desirable

  • Understanding of food safety standards and regulations

Mandatory requirements

  • Current drivers licence
  • WA Working with Children Check
  • National Police Certificate
  • International Police Clearance (if applicable)
  • First Aid Certificate
