About The Role
As a Senior Specialist Legal Editor in Practical Law you will use your specialist legal knowledge of and experience in public procurement andpublic sector lawandpracticeto create andmaintaina wide range of contentand to support the development of Thomson Reuters AI-powered legal solutions. Working in a supportive team of highly experienced colleagues you will deal with a breadth of interesting work.
Major responsibilities/accountabilities
- Research writeandmaintainclear current and practical legal content aligned with market practice and customer needs and businessobjectives.
- Review and edit content written byothers whether by colleagues or external expert contributors.
- Keep up to date with legal practice and market developments to ensure contentremainsaccuraterelevantand aligned with businessobjectives.
- Useyour legalexpertiseto support the developmentofcustomer-focusedThomson Reuters AI-powered legal solutions.
- Use your legalexpertiseand editorial skills to support the development and application of internalAIeditorial tools.
- Develop andmaintainrelationships with lawyers and industry groups to ensure content reflects current market practice.
- Use your specialist legal knowledge toassistthe wider Thomson Reuters teamworkingwithproduct managementsales marketing and technology functions where necessary.
About You
Yourea fit for the role if youare aUK qualifiedsolicitorbarristeror legal executiveandhave:
- Substantialpost-qualification experience working as a public sector lawyerina law firm in-house or at the barin the UK.
- Extensive experience of public procurement law and practice.
- A good knowledge of administrative and constitutional law (legislative practice public sector duties and decision-making).
- Strong writing skills and a passion for writing about legal practice accurately concisely and in plain English.
- A collaborative mindset with the abilitytowork effectivelyindependently and in teams.
- Strong technical skills and theability to effectivelyutilise various tools including generative AI technologies to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work on diverseprojectsand tasks within the generative AI space as well as new and emerging technologies.
- A curious mindsetincluding about the increasing intersection of AI and legal practiceadaptable and open to change.
- Experience ofusing AI tools in legal work.
