Pay: $20$27/hour (based on experience; higher for strong candidates)
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Advanced Manufacturing Technician I CNC Swiss to support precision machining operations in a regulated manufacturing this role you will operate CNC Swiss machines ensure part quality through in-process inspection and follow established manufacturing safety and documentation standards.
You will play a key role in supporting production goals maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with quality systems including GMP GDP SOPs SWIs and QMS requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Swiss machining equipment to support production schedules and on-time delivery
- Perform basic tool wear monitoring and report issues to the lead or supervisor
- Conduct in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints job travelers and technical drawings (including GD&T)
- Complete ERP transactions (Epicor) accurately to document production activities
- Record production data inspection results and job activity in logs and reports
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and follow equipment operating procedures
- Maintain a clean safe and organized work area in compliance with OSHA standards
- Follow all applicable GMP GDP SOP SWI and QMS requirements
- Support additional tasks as assigned by supervision
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1 year of manufacturing or machining experience preferred
- Basic understanding of CNC Swiss machining processes
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers micrometers gauges and vision systems
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production documentation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Preferred Experience
- CNC machining or a precision manufacturing environment
- Exposure to regulated industries (medical device aerospace or similar)
- Experience working under GMP/QMS frameworks
