Work hours: Part-Time Days (6:45 AM 7:15 PM) for 24 hours/week. Weekend and holiday requirements.
Justin 5 Surgical Trauma PCU & Burn Unit highlights:
- 35-bed Surgical Trauma Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Burn Unit.
- Opening with 18 surgical trauma PCU beds and 9 burn beds expanding later to full capacity.
- High-acuity surgical trauma and burn care with a dedicated hydrotherapy procedure room.
- Integrated unit; staff work across both PCU and burn populations.
- RN staffing ratio 1:3; PCT staffing ratio 1:912.
Heres What You Need
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency when applicable.
- One of the following upon hire: approved PCT training program (TX CNA NHA NAHP NCCT accredited community college or THR-approved); EMT or military medical equivalent; nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program; or one year of applicable experience in lieu of certification.
- BCLS required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
- CPI training required within 90 days and maintained annually.
- Organizational skills to function in a fast-paced environment with strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Provide patient care and assistance based on the plan of care and patient/family preferences.
- Collect and report patient data; support admission transfer and discharge processes.
- Perform technical procedures safely and document care accurately.
- Collaborate with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
- Maintain a clean safe environment and proactively meet patient and visitor needs.
- Demonstrate teamwork flexibility and effective communication across disciplines.
- Participate in process improvement adhere to safety goals and advocate for patients.
