The opportunity
The Publishing Advisor Digital assists to produce complex electronic publishing projects and manages workflow and access to the EPAs website. The role implements best practice standards and procedures to ensure that the website provides the best possible user experience including high quality content and images and information that is easy to find and read to increase understanding of environmental issues and build trust in the EPA.
This role sits within the Strategic Communications team of Corporate Affairs. You will work alongside communications professionals responsible for Content Design Brand and Internal Communications to ensure our internal and external communications consistently represent the EPA to build trust. We also work closely with other Corporate Affairs colleagues and subject matter experts across the EPA.
About you
You enjoy working in a fast-paced digital production environment alongside like-minded colleagues to improve content and experience for users of the EPA website. You are familiar with available analytics and tools to guide decision-making and actively following the impact of AI on the digital landscape.
You are a pro at day-to-day production documentation of process and issues and User Acceptance Testing. You relish being part of complex projects such as content reorganisations and CMS migrations.
You bring strong expertise in Drupal content management systems and HTML coding with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accessibility clarity and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role you will have the following experience:
- Strong experience in digital publishing content management and website administration within a complex organisational environment
- Advanced knowledge of Drupal content management systems including page building content structuring workflows and permissions
- Solid understanding and practical application of HTML code to format edit and troubleshoot web content
- Demonstrated ability to publish edit and maintain high-quality web content in line with editorial and digital design standards including Plain English and accessibility
- Experience using analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to monitor website performance and inform content improvements
- Strong eye for detail with the ability to ensure consistency accuracy and usability across digital content
- Ability to translate complex or technical information into clear engaging and user-friendly web content
- Experience working with content owners and stakeholders to manage publishing workflows and approvals
- Understanding of SEO and AEO principles and how to optimise content for discoverability and user experience
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple publishing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
