Roles and Responsibilities
- As part of controls team responsible for project deliverables controls software validation project specific software creation FAT SAT HIL commissioning support for Solar & Battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.
- Support on-site startup and integration of various systems to our hardware and software.
- Track overall status of controls deliverables and complete on time with quality for the assigned projects to meet goals of the control team.
- Have close interaction with project managers various internal teams and customers to finalize engineering requirements with respect to contract scope and deliver the same to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with customers with confidence and clarity.
- Develop improve and administer customer overview and operational training material for the control system.
- Work across the Hybrid engineering and services organizations to prepare documentation for installation commissioning and operations for use by internal GE employees and our customers.
- Work on design develop and deploy the control hardware configuration for each project and design the communication network including but not limited to DI/DO Ethernet FO and other industrial communication etc.
- Support problem identification and resolution of new and installed products.
- Participate actively in controls design Software code reviews testing and software validation.
- Work on standardization of controls project execution software validation implementation.
Required Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor/masters degree in electrical /electronic/instrumentation/controls engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in developing and implementing control software.
- Experience in GEs MarkVIe product & tools like GEs Toolbox ST Workstation ST Cimplicity software (SCADA) P80i software is preferable.
- Demonstrated Software expertise in Solar Battery Energy storage Plant level controls validation and verification formal methods systems integration advanced controls or related technologies.
- Familiarity with standard industrial protocols such as OPC-UA Modbus EGD Profibus CAN bus IEC 61850 and IEC 104 etc.
- Experience in PLC DCS SCADA SQL and Matlab Simulink software.
- Experience in various countries grid code compliance particularly Australian grid code PLQ & AEMO requirements UK USA European Germany Itali Turkey & India grid codes.
- Familiar with AS/NZS safety standards.
- Worked in any power generation industry like BESS solar. renewable thermal nuclear etc.
- Experience in communication networks equipments functionality Selection Software features Hardware & Cyber security.
- Demonstrated implementation of controls or systems integration in products and field engineering experience.
